Font Fonk Fork was a two days workshop initiated by Velvetyne Type Foundry at La Générale. We started from the Cooper Hewitt typeface to create new derivations. Just like the original font, our creations are free to use, study and modify. After a little lesson about type design rules and free/open source licenses, each participant proposed an idea to explain how he wanted to modify the font. I created a typographic system with two weights of the Cooper Hewitt family. By cutting the letters on half, it became a kind of multi-weights font. I named this system « bricoleur », french word for « handyman », because the graphic designer using the font have to fix the system himself before it works.

La dame noir
« Hors les Murs » is a series of roving exhibitions with the resident artists of the Luxury Lobsters Art Gallery. I was chosen to be highlighted on an exhibition in a bar called « La Dame Noir ». The idea was to propose a visual experience in a series of posters, imagined as relics, forgotten documents. Those visuals are a mix of various graphic inspirations linked with the bar theme and mystic iconography. The atmosphere of the pub was also restyled for the event, with the installation of some ultraviolet lamps to emphasize the white lines of the illustrations.
Le tramway prend l’art
Communication for the opening ceremony of a new tramway line in Marseilles. During the opening ceremony of a new tramway line, the federation of shopkeepers of the city center of Marseilles had organised an event to gather people of the city, around artistic and cultural activities in the center of Marseilles. The theme of postcards was chosen to recall the historic scope of tramways in Marseilles. The communication around the event was conveyed through a range of various media : a poster in multiple formats, flyers, and a program leaflet.
